For Sale: Browning BPR .22 Magnum

For Sale:  Browning BPR .22 Magnum   $950 Shipped

This rifle appears to be unfired.  Upon inspecting with a borescope, the bore and bolt face show no evidence of ever being fired.  Since I can not confirm this, I am selling it as "like new".  I do not have the factory box or manuals.

There are a couple handling marks/minor scratches to note, but it otherwise looks new.  There are two minor scratches on the barrel, on the right side at the end of the forend, and a second near the muzzle.  On the left side of the buttstock, there is a pressure mark in the finish on the wood.

This has a 20" barrel, dovetailed receiver for scope mounting, iron sights, and is of course, a pump action.  This is a fairly rare rifle chambered for the .22 WRM in the condition it is in.  It would make a great addition to a collection, or a fine rifle to walk around in the woods with.

The price above includes shipping (UPS ground with insurance) to your FFL.   Local purchases in Fort Collins CO would require a legal transfer, which I will cover the fees for.

Note:  Small scratch shown on barrel under the front sight.

Note:  Pressure mark in the finish, shown just to the right of the "flash reflection"

Note:  Small scratch on the barrel, just above the forend tip.

The standard pile of parts picture.

VAIS Micro Brake installed.

Prepped for Cerakote, the parts hang in the spray booth ready for Sniper Green.

Finished up, Sawtooth Rifles #32 poses for some pictures before being picked up by the customer.

Sniper Green, a close match to McMillan's green in their GAP camo.

Our customer's first 100 yard group after a few sighters zeroing the scope.  This was with Barnes factory ammo.  Nice shooting, Sir. Subtracting the .308 bullet diameter from his measurement yields a .131" group.  (customer supplied photo - thanks)

300 Yard group, using hand loaded Berger bullets, 190 VLD's I believe, this calculates to a sub 3/4 MOA group at typical hunting range.  (customer supplied photo - thanks)

Another 100 yard group with a worked up handload. (another customer supplied photo, and another thanks)

SOLD: Remington 700 8mm Rem Mag Semi Custom

SOLD

Remington 700 8mm Rem Mag w/ 24" Barrel
CV barrel stamp puts this at 1979 I believe.  It has an "A" series receiver.
The rifle was Cerakoted Armor Black here at Sawtooth Rifles
HS Precision stock in Olive Drab with black splatter
Stocky's Tactical Bottom Metal (steel)
EGW 0moa Picitiny scope base
RCBS Full Length dies
50 pieces of new Remington brass

This rifle belonged to a local customer that had me Cerakote it about a year ago.  He has since decided it isn't a target gun and is having me build something a little more appropriate for what he enjoys doing, and traded this towards that project.  He indicated it shot near MOA with factory ammo.  Like most Remington's, I suspect it would do better with a properly tuned hand load if anybody is brave enough to spend some bench time with this beast.  MOA with factory ammo ought to do just fine on an Elk I suppose.  The brass and dies go with the rifle, unless the buyer indicates no interest in them.  The factory ammo shown would be available for a local pick up, but I don't want to ship it.

The rifle is in great shape.  The Cerakote finish is still in good shape.  The sight screw holes in the barrel were filled with epoxy before coating.  They are apparent, but not blatantly obvious.  The bore is nice and shiny.  There is one very slight erosion mark on the bolt face.
